Overview:
Basic life support (BLS) is the level of medical care which is used for victims of life threatening illnesses or injuries until they can be given full medical care at a hospital. It can be administered without equipment which makes it helpful in everyday situations. Completing this course is a fantastic way to add an edge to your CV.
The BLS course is a short 3 hour CPR course aimed at those requiring skills in BLS.
The BLS course will cover:
- Heart attacks
- Cardiac Arrest and Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitataion (CPR) in adults and children
- Hypothermia
- Caring for an Unconscious person and Epilepsy
- Choking
- Anaphylaxis
Training will take place at our local Helston facility and on completion members will receive a free HSE compliant first aid kit to take away, as part of our competitively priced package.
